Emergency Training in Zambia
AmeriAxis Foundation has launched an emergency preparedness training program in Zambia, equipping communities with the skills and resources to respond to natural disasters and emergencies. The program trains local leaders in first aid, evacuation planning, and crisis communication.
Community-Led Resilience
Zambia faces recurring floods, droughts, and other climate-related emergencies. Our training empowers communities to take action before, during, and after disasters, reducing the loss of life and property.
- First Aid & CPR: Basic life-saving skills for community members
- Evacuation Planning: Mapping safe routes and emergency shelters
- Early Warning Systems: Community-based monitoring and communication
- Search & Rescue: Light search and rescue techniques
Building Long-Term Capacity
Community members trained in emergency preparedness now serve as first responders in their villages. The program has trained over 1,000 people in five districts, with plans to expand nationwide.
